CHICAGO – Kendall Paris boldly went where no GSU woman golfer had gone before ... and represented her school well in the process. The Jaguars' lone representative, Paris faced a field of Division I players (a school first) at the Chi-Town Fall Classic and finished with a two-day total of 194, shooting identical rounds of 97. In the final team standings, Southern Illinois (614) finished ahead of UIC (645), UW-Green Bay (649), Detroit Mercy (672), Chicago State (709) and Holy Cross (710) of the CCAC as tournament action concluded Tuesday at the Harborside International Golf Center.

"I give Kendall a lot of credit for showing up against a competitive field on a course she's never played before," stated GSU Head Coach Mark Haines. "It was a good experience for her and help in her preparation for conference play down the road."

GSU figures to play one more time in the coming weeks before concluding the fall portion of its 2017-18 campaign.
