GSU Edged by Roosevelt in the Windy City

CHICAGO—Governors State was outscored 9-2 over the final five minutes in a 64-61 loss to Roosevelt Saturday in CCAC action from the Goodman Center.

Chris Winters led the Jaguars with 15 points while DeAndrey Robinson posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Payton Harley added nine points and six assists for GSU, which is now 5-8 overall and 2-4 in the CCAC. Harley attempted to force overtime with a three-point shot at the buzzer, but it did not fall.

Roosevelt (7-3, 4-2 CCAC) placed three scorers in double-figures, led by Caleb Brown's 16 points and 11 points each from Eetu Villa and Josh Redic. With the win, the Lakers claimed a 6-5 lead in the all-time series.

GSU takes part in final exams this week before hosting Olivet Nazarene Saturday at the ARC.
