Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team Announced

CHICAGO --- Governors State University and St. Ambrose University gained the most all-academic selections for men's cross country when the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the team on Tuesday afternoon.  Both programs produced seven honorees.

One spot behind was league champion University of St. Francis with six awardees, followed by Olivet Nazarene University, Saint Xavier University and Trinity Christian College with five recipients.  Rounding out the list were two representatives from Viterbo University and one from Judson University.

Of the 38 individuals recognized, three turned in perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages, while 15 made the team one year ago.  Seven of those honorees were three-peat choices.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
