Breanna Bembenek begins her first season as an assistant coach with the Governors State women's soccer team.

The Manhattan, Illinois native joined the Jaguars last season as a forward and finished as the team's leader in shooting percentage and shooting accuracy while placing third in goals and fourth in scoring. She also scored goals 18 minutes apart to spark a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Trintiy International in the season finale.

Prior to arriving at GSU, Bembenek played four seasons at York College, finishing as the school's all-time leader in goals. She earned a biology degree from York in 2021 and is working towards secondary education certification at GSU.
