Jaguars Head M/W Track Coach John Niendorf talked about the Olivet University Season Opening Meet:
"Olivet has a nice early holiday meet and it's a great way to see an early glimpse into the shape that some of our athletes are in. Only a few athletes on the track and field side competed and it was a good way for them to shake some of the rust off. Courben Session was our first ever pole vaulter to compete and clear her opening height. She vaulted 2.15 meters or 7 feet and a half inch. I thought she did an amazing job at her first meet of the season."
"Clark Fremouw took first overall in shotput after he threw 14.51 meters. I thought he threw excellent and looked in control as well. Jayson Wold ran his first collegiate meet as well and will be hoping to get his 400-meter time down below sub 50 as the indoor season moves forward. Overall, I was happy with the performances at this early meet and it's nice to see them out there after a long summer and fall of work."
