GSU WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY 3rd IN TEAM STANDINGS TO OPEN 2023 MEET SEASON - St. Francis Twilight Invitational Sept. 1, Channahon Park, IL
GSU Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach John Niendorf had these comments on the women's race 9/1/23 -
" The women ran excellent today. I liked the toughness they showed out there. No one quit and they scraped and grinded their way to a 3rd place finish. Krysta demonstrated why she is going to be one of the best freshmen in the conference this year. Priya and Sydney helped us out a lot, beating out a lot of runners throughout the race."
"I thought Ariana stepped up in a big way today, finishing 4th for our team scoring. Our lone junior Emilia rounded out our scoring five with a solid performance. Four of our five scoring runners were freshman, so I think the future is bright for this young team. Overall, I think this women's team is coming together nicely and they will be making some waves as we continue to grow as a team," said Coach Niendorf.
