GSU JAGUARS WOMEN CROSS COUNTRY 4th AT MIDWEST CLASSIC - Priya Knox Finishes 3rd Overall
BOURBONNAIS, IL - Governors State University women's cross country team was led by Priya Knox and her third place overall individual finish at the Midwest Classic Meet host by Olivet Nazarene University at Aspen Ridge Golf Course.
The GSU women placed fourth of nine schools competiting and Coach Niendorf commented on his women's showing Friday in Bourbonnais.
"The women ran tough today in a competitive field. Priya Knox was able to take 3rd overall and she helped our overall team score a lot. There were a lot of girls that took a big step forward today and I think the most exciting part is the entire top six, for us, were freshmen. The women's team is young and hungry for more. I think we will have to make some adjustments before Bethel, but overall, I am really pleased with how this young team is developing. The future is bright for this squad," said Coach Niendorf.
