UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - The Jaguars men's soccer team has played three NAIA nationally ranked opponents and a Division I foe (Eastern Illinois University) to start the season on the road with four tough tests. Thursday, at the Sportplex in Crown Point, Indiana GSU lost its home opener 2-1 vs. unbeaten Spring Arbor University (3-0-1), who beat CCAC St. Francis 4-0 on August 26 at home.

GSU women's soccer season opener was a 4-0 loss Thursday at Purdue Northwest.

Governors State women's soccer  opens the home season Saturday, September 2, 11 a.m. - game time and site switch with the game vs. Cleary University Saturday being held at Dowling Park in Hammond, Indiana - 3025 John F. Mahoney Drive in Hammond. GSU women will be back at home next on Sept. 6, 2 p.m. at the Sportsplex in Crown Point, Indiana hosting IU-Kokomo.
