FIFTH STRAIGHT SEASON TO CCAC PLAYOFFS - GSU MEN'S SOCCER ON NINE-GAME UNBEATEN STREAK - Host Judson University Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at Dowling Park in Hammond, Indiana - CCAC Quarterfinals.
GSU has won seven straight games and has a 8-0-1 record in its last nine contests entering the CCAC playoffs.
The Jaguars have qualified for the CCAC playoffs all five years of the program under Coach Matt Eggert and have won the past 8 games out-scoring opponents 28-6 including 5-1 and 4-0 home wins last week over IU-Northwest and St. Ambrose at the Crown Point Sportsplex. The Sportsplex is not available Saturday and Judson vs. GSU will be played at Dowling Park, in Hammond, Indiana, home of Purdue NW D2 soccer.
GSU's firepower offensively the past ten games has been led by freshman Simon Blaesdahl, the season scoring leader with 10 goals and veteran John Gonzalez with seven markers. Freshman goalie Marcol Salom Chandre has recorded three shutouts in 2023 including a 2-0 win at Judson (Sept. 30).
