Playoffs Ahead For GovState ESports!

"Our Jaguars are headed to the playoffs! We have FOUR teams looking to represent GSU Esports in their respective titles: Marvel Rivals have competed in two conferences this semester: ECAC and NECC. In the ECAC they have finished the regular season with a 4-3 record achieving the 8th spot out of 12 teams to proceed into the playoffs that start this upcoming week of 3/21.

In the NECC, Rivals have gone 5-2 in Division 4 and have achieved the 3rd seed going into the playoffs playing against Illinois State University in the first round!! Super Smash Brothers are the 3rd seed in the NECC Division 4 and looking to get their get-back from last semester where they finished 3rd place and are now looking to claim the Division for themselves to move up some spots in the NECC Conference!! NBA 2k DEMON RedFromChi had a record of 6-1 to achieve the 3rd seed out of 12 guaranteed spots and 13 more set to play in Play-Ins. Amarion has been absolutely crushing the competition and we are excited to see him progress though the playoffs to win a chip for the program!!

Valorant have achieved the 6th seed in the NECC Division 6 Conference. The team has had its ups and downs throughout the semester but they are looking to redeem themselves with a great playoff run! We go up against Carthage College Monday right when we get back from break to kick off the playoff run for our teams!! Exciting times for the Jaguars and we are all looking to bring home some hardware for the GSU Community to appreciate!!
