Gov State beat Waldorf (Iowa) 105-88 to advance to the Tip-Off Classic championship game vs. William Penn (Iowa).
Balanced scoring led the way for the Jaguars with five starters scoring in double figures led by Maxwell Marius who filled up the stats sheet with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
Vincent Mayes 18, Trae Warren 16, Javon Johnson 12 and Javonte McKenzie 11 in the ARC all scored in doubles for GovState (1-1).

2025 Men's Basketball Tip-Off Classic Friday Night - Saturday Afternoon In the ARC!
GovState men's basketball hosts Waldorf University(Iowa), 7PM Friday night, Oct. 31 in the second game of the 2025 Tip-Off Classic.
William Penn (Iowa) vs. East-West University (IL) at 5 PM in the opening game of the tournament.
The two Friday night winners will play for the championship at 3 PM Saturday and the Friday losers will play, 1 PM on Saturday.
The Jaguars (0-1) opened the 2025 season last week losing at #7 Grace (Indiana) 105-90.
