WGF Finishes Play at CCAC Cup
HOMEWOOD, IL — Governors State's women's golf team completed its season-opening tournament Tuesday at the CCAC Cup, held at the 5,804-yard Ravisloe Country Club course, site of last year's CCAC Championships. The Jaguars were represented by senior Kendall Paris and did not register a team score at the event which serves as a season preview for teams from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
St. Ambrose captured the team title with a 687 score over 36 holes. Runner-up St. Francis finished at 698, ahead of Holy Cross (729) and Trinity Christian (842).
Abby Clark of Holy Cross claimed medalist honors with a 162. Paris carded a 95 to go along with a 102 yesterday to finish at 197, tied for 19th place overall.
GSU, which was missing golfers due to class commitments, returns to the links September 7-8 for the Olivet Nazarene Fall Invitational.
