Women's Golf Competes at Troll Classic

HOMEWOOD, IL — After a month off from action, Governors State's women's golf team returned to the links Monday afternoon, taking part in the Troll Classic at the Calumet Country Club.

Kendall Paris was GSU's lone representative on the course and finished with a 123. Chloe Buerster of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods led the individual field with an 85. Judson claimed the team crown with a team score of 382 to edge runner-up Saint Mary-of-the-Woods by one shot. Host Trinity Christian (427) took third followed by Saint Xavier (449) and Lincoln (460).

"Kendall has been focused on her studies — she's not in mid-season form yet, but she's giving it a good effort," said GSU Coach Mark Haines.

GSU will host Calumet St. Joseph, IU Northwest and Robert Morris in the Jaguars Fall Invitational this Friday at Lincoln Oaks Golf Course.
