Honn Named to CCAC All-Academic Team
UNIVERSITY PARK, IL—Bailey Honn, who completed her sophomore season last fall, has been named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for women's cross country.
The CCAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes with cumulative grade-point averages above 3.25 (entering the Spring 2021 term) who have been enrolled for one academic year and have completed at least 30 semester hours.
Honn competed in three races in 2020, lowering her times each week that in the end resulted in a 1 minute and 30 seconds improvement from her season-opening performance. She finished with a season-best mark of 27:05.1, accomplished at the Midwest Challenge on October 24.
A Herscher, Illinois native and biology major, Honn was named to the GSU Athletics High Honor Roll both semesters this year.
"Bailey is really an exceptional student and a 'tough as nails' runner. She loves her studies, getting good grades, going to class and turning in her work in with excellence and flair," said GSU Head Coach Kevin Kredens.
