UNIVERSITY PARK, IL—The Governors State women's cross country team has signed its first recruit for the 2022 season, receiving a commitment from Alison Borschnack, a transfer from Kankakee Community College.

"Alison has been on our radar for a few years," said GSU Head Coach Kevin Kredens. "She has a long history of running going back to Herscher High School, where she and (GSU runner) Bailey Honn were teammates. Alison has a competitive spirit that will add to the team."
