Governors State University women's basketball team - CCAC Conference regular season champions! GovState beat Holy Cross today 65-56 to win the championship.
Zareia Chevre scored 21 points-9 rebounds at Holy Cross, Tabetha Jones had a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and Cencere McDaniel had 15 points, 6 rebounds.
The Jaguars tied the school record for wins in a season set last year (23-5 in 2024-25, 17-3 CCAC).
GSU will host a first round playoff game Wednesday, February 26, 5:30 PM vs. Viterbo University (15-13, 8-12 CCAC)
