Men's Soccer Adds Serbian Goal-Scorer

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — The Governors State men's soccer team is quickly resembling the United Nations after the signing of proven goal-scorer Dusan Todorovic to a National Letter of Intent. The Serbian-born striker becomes the Jaguars' sixth International recruit, joining players from England, Nigeria and Ukraine.

The 5-foot-10 Todorovic appeared in six games last season at the University of Northwestern Ohio, a Top-20 NAIA program that amassed a 14-4-2 record. Prior to arriving at UNOH, Todorovic tallied 33 goals and was named team MVP for the FK Kicker club team in 2016.

The book on Todorovic makes it easy to understand Coach Matt Eggert's enthusiasm for his new recruit. The sophomore is eluasive on the ball, a threat on set pieces and possesses a high soccer I.Q. Todorovic is a dual threat with his ability to apply offensive pressure while engaging teammates in the process as well. He certainly has good bloodlines as his father, Rade, played in the Bundesliga. He is the son of Marina Todorovic and was born in Kraljevo.

"Dusan brings a wealth of experience that allows him to read the game at a high level," said Eggert. "He works well between the lines and is a threat to create scoring chances every time he touches the ball."
