Cencere McDaniel First Team All-CCAC - Davina Smith Named Newcomer of the Year - Smith Also Named Second Team All-CCAC

GovState senior team scoring leader (18.9 points/game) Cencere McDaniel (Alsip, IL) was named first team All-CCAC Conference for 2025-26. 

Cencere averaged 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and had a game-scoring high of 30 points this season.

McDaniel's stellar senior season helped the Jaguars to a 19-11, 14-7 CCAC season and last year she was second-team All-CCAC selection off the record-setting 29-6 conference champions and NAIA Elite 8 team.

Also being selected for conference awards, was Governors State's Davina Smith (Merrillville, Ind.), who was honored as the CCAC Newcomer of the Year. 

Davina produced the ninth-best scoring (15.2 ppg) and tenth-best rebounding (7.0) averages, while also placing ninth in free throw accuracy (.789).

Smith was also named second team All-CCAC for the 2025-26 season.

Both Cencere McDaniel and Smith scored their milestone 1,000 career points this season competing for GovState in 2025-26.
