HILLEL WATKINS LEADS GSU GOLFERS IN SCORING, TEAM 16th AT JUDSON UNIVERSITY INVITE, JAGUARS 8th of 8 TEAMS AT SAINT FRANCIS INVITATIONAL

West Dundee, IL (4/10/23) - & Joliet, IL  (4/11/23)

GSU's Hillel Watkins (Sr., Chicago, IL) led the individual scoring for Coach Fred Hawkins Jaguars Monday at the Judson University Spring Invitational Tournament.

Watkins shot an 82, on the par 71 course and his +11/82 placed T39 in the individual scoring.

Lake Forest (307) total edged University of Dubuque by two strokes for the team title.

Charlie Gneiser, College of DuPage was tournament medalist shooting a +1/72 on the Randall Oaks Golf Course. 

The Jaguars placed 16th of 16 teams at the tournament and other scores for GSU included: Kevin Kompier 88 (T72), Tyler Bannon 95, Alex Cortez 97, and Dom DalPolo 111.

Governors State men's golf competed Tuesday at the Saint Francis University Spring Collegiate Invitational and placed 8th of 8 teams with Alex Cortez leading GSU with an 81.

Kompier shot 86, Bannon 105 and DalPolo 113. Watkins did not golf Tuesday at USF.
