18th Ranked GSU Women's Bowling Team - Finishes 3rd in Kentucky - Highest Tourney Finish Ever -
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The GovState women's bowling team finished 3rd at the Tier 2 One-Day MSC Thomas N Burris Memorial Tournament on Sunday. This is the teams highest finish in program history!
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The one-day event consisted of four team games followed by 8 baker games, bowled in four game blocks, on Sunday, with total pinfall determining the winner.
HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars were led by Sophomore, Cameryn Landers who had games of 196, 245, 226, 247 averaging 228.5 setting the 4-game school record, also setting the record for highest average in an event. Also helping lead the Jaguars, Freshman, Jenna Ritchie who finished 8th individually averaging 222, with a high game of 237.
The Jaguars had team games of 1034, 1079, 1046, and 992.
WOMEN'S RESULTS: At the conclusion of the individual games, GovState was in 3rd place with a total pin fall of 4151.
GovState Jaguars finished the tournament in 3rd place with a total pinfall of 5704. . Lindenwood University won the event with a total pinfall of 6099.
WHAT'S NEXT? The Jaguars have a few weeks off and will be back on the road in Indianapolis, IN., for the prestigious Tier I, Hoosier Classic on February 15-16th for their final regular season event.
