Jaguars 10th At Western Shootout -Indianapolis - Next Competing in Top Tier II Event of Year - Nov. 8

Indianapolis, IN. – The GovState Women's Bowling Varsity team finished 10th at the Western Shootout this past weekend. The Varsity Reserve, with only 4 players, finished 7th.


TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day event consisted of six team games on Saturday followed by 16 baker games on Sunday, bowled in four, 4 game blocks. The winner determined by total pin fall of Saturday and Sunday combined.

SUNDAY LANE PATTERN: 
Length: 47 ft
Volume: 27.6mL
Ratio: 2.63:1

VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars were led by Junior, Kahlen Ranson, with score of 1175, averaging 195.83, finishing 17th out of over 200 individuals. Other Jaguars leaders include Junior, Samantha Mann, coming off the bench firing scores of 237 and 196, averaging 216.5 for two games.

VARSITY RESERVE HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars were led by Freshman, Kylie Schaefer, with a score of 908, averaging 151.33.

WOMEN'S RESULTS: At the conclusion of the individual and baker games, GovState Varsity finished in 10th place out of 28 teams, with a total pin fall of 8316.

Lindenwood won the event over Rochester University in a nail-biter finish, by one pin.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Jaguars (Varsity and Varsity Reserve) are back on the road Saturday, November 8th to the biggest Tier II of the year, Leatherneck Classic in Rockford, Illinois.
