Women's Bowling Finishes 12th at Warhawk Open - Busy December Month of Tier 1 Tournaments

Addison, IL. – The GovState Women's Bowling Varsity team finished 12th at the Ebonite Warhawk Open this past weekend. The Junior Varsity team, with only 4 players, finished 9th.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day event consisted of five team games on Saturday followed by 16 baker games on Sunday, bowled in four, 4 game blocks. The winner determined after a top 8 bracket final.

LANE PATTERN: 

Length: 43 ft
Volume: 28.04mL
Ratio: 1.77:1

VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars were led by Sophomore, Jenna Ritchie, with score of 863, averaging 172.6, finishing 28th out of over 150 individuals. Jenna had the high game of the day for the Jaguars, with a 233 in game 2.

JUNIOR VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars were led by Freshman, Heidi VandenBosch with a score of 802, averaging 160.4


WOMEN'S RESULTS: At the conclusion of the individual and baker games, GovState Varsity finished in 12th place, with a total pin fall of 6626.  Saint Xavier won the event over Marian University.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Jaguars (Varsity) are back on their way to the Sin City, Las Vegas, Nevada for two of the biggest events of the season. Back to back tournaments December 18th-21st: Glenn Carlson Invite and Collegiate Shootout, both Tier I events.
