13th Ranked Women's Bowling End Season At ITC Sectional in Addison, IL
13th Ranked NAIA & 19th Ranked USBC GSU Women's Bowling
ADDISON, IL – The GovState women's bowling team finished 11th at the ITC Sectional in Addison, IL.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day event consisted of 64 baker games over two days to determine the top 4 teams to earn their ticket to Nationals. Saturday and Sunday each consistent of 16 baker games in the morning, lunch and 16 baker games in the afternoon. One of the hardest formats in College Bowling.
HIGHLIGHTS: The Jaguars worked hard all weekend after a rough first morning set. The ladies dug deep and never gave up. The ladies averaged 188 over 64 baker games.
ITS Singles Sectional Results: In the Singles Sectionals the Jaguars were led by Sophomore, Cameryn Landers, who finished 41st with a score of 1195, averaging 199.16. 215 individual athletes competed in the individual sectionals for 7 spots to nationals.
GovState Jaguars finished the tournament in 11th place with a total pinfall of 12035 to end their season. The four teams earning their spot to the ITC National tournament in Las Vegas from the Addison sectional were, Mount Mercy, Louisiana Tech, Judson, and Wisconsin-Whitewater.
