NOTRE DAME, IN—Two teams next to each other in the CCAC standings battled Saturday with Governors State falling to Holy Cross, 63-56, at McKenna Arena. With the win, Holy Cross managed a split of the season series and remains ahead of GSU in the chase for a CCAC playoff berth.

Holy Cross (13-11, 8-9) was led by the backcourt combo of Jordyn Smith (15 points) and Jayda Miller (14 points).
