FIRST PLACE IU SOUTH BEND TITANS BEAT JAGUARS 72-62 TO REMAIN UNBEATEN IN CCAC
UNIVERSITY PARK, Illinois --
Governors State had a huge margin in bench scoring with the Jaguars non-starters out-scoring IU South Bend 38-16, but the Titans 40-25 halftime lead was too much to overcome and first place IUSB (9-3, 5-0 CCAC) outlasted GSU 72-62 in the ARC.
The Jaguars (5-8, 3-2 CCAC) out-scored IU South-Bend in the second half 37-32 with 10 players scoring points for GSU.
Starter Nick Mikash led the Jaguars with 14 points, 5 rebounds hitting 4-6 three-pointers against the Titans. Point guard Jeremiah Johnson led the team with 6 assists and scored 8 points.
GSU next plays at St. Ambrose in CCAC play, Saturday January 6, 3 PM start in Davenport, Iowa.
