JALEN LEVY WITH TWO FREE THROWS LATE FOR 79-77 WIN OVER HOLY CROSS ON SENIOR DAY

UNIVERSITY PARK, Illinois - -

Jaguars' senior Jalen Levy hit two free throws with 3.6 seconds left to beat Holy Cross 79-77 with GSU coming back from 14 points down in the second half for the home win.

Seniors Kyle Jackson 20, Levy with 18 and Tyler Clarke 10, all scored in doubles for Governors State. The trio of seniors and Lashaun Gist were the four seniors playing their final game for GSU.

Governors State (7-21, 5-15 CCAC) staged another second half comeback erasing a 14-point Holy Cross lead to forge ahead 75-70 with 3:20 left in the second half on a Levy driving layup.

In the final 20 minutes, GSU shot 57% (15-26) with pressure defense and attacking the basket and hitting free throws (15-19 in the game) - all leading to the end of the 2023-2024 season home victory.
