ST. AMBROSE BEATS GOVERNORS STATE 83-70 FOR CCAC ROAD WIN - GSU WITH FIVE GAMES IN TEN DAYS NEXT AT OLIVET SATURDAY

Governors State's cold shooting in the first half (10-35 field goals, 28.6%) dug a 44-27, 17-point deep hole to climb back into the game vs. St. Ambrose.
And the Jaguars did battle back again for the second straight game in the second half, cutting the margin to five points 45-40 with a 13-1 run in the first five minutes of the second half.
Tyrell Isom led the Jaguars with 21 points, 8 rebounds and Kendall Brasfield was the other double figure GSU scorer with 14 points, 2 steals.
GSU (6-17, 4-11 CCAC) sits in tenth place in the conference standings entering the final two weeks of the regular season and vying for a top eight playoff spot (GSU is 10th behind 8th place tie Calumet and St. Francis both 5-10).
The Jaguars are next playing at Olivet Nazarene University, 3 PM Saturday in Bourbonnais, IL.
