CALUMET ST. JOSEPH HANDLES GSU COMEBACK - BEATS GSU 78-66 at the ARC

Governors State forged another second half comeback to within three points before Calumet St. Joseph got control of the game and won 78-66 at the ARC.
GSU clawed back to within 49-46 with 11 minutes remaining in the game but a 14-2 Crimson Wave run got the lead back up in command for the winners.
A trio of GSU varsity reserve players sparked the spirited play in the game led by Johnnie Williams with 10 points, Amare White with 5 points, 2 assists and Jalen Aalders with 3 points, 2 assists.
Oluyemi Elutilo led the Jaguars with 12 points 6 rebounds and season scoring leader Tyrell Isom had 8 points 7 rebounds and Ben Underwood 9 points, 6 rebounds.
Governors State (6-20, 4-14 CCAC) is at IU Northwest Wednesday night, and then hosts Holy Cross Saturday Senior Day game, 3 PM in the ARC to end the 2023-24 season.
