ADRIAN, Michigan - JAGUARS WIN TOURNAMENT GAME 63-59 - PLAY SIENA HEIGHTS IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SUNDAY 4 PM EST

Tabetha Jones led the Jaguars with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 63-59 win Saturday vs. Washington Adventist (Maryland). Jones leads GSU with a 19.8 scoring average through five games and hit eight field goals and 6-9 free throws with three steals and two assists.

Da'Naria Washington scored 13 points coming off the bench for the winners, hitting 4-5 field goals with 4 rebounds and  5-6 FTs.

Zareia Chevre and Angelique Cowan had nine rebounds each and Trinity Sims contributed 6 boards with GSU out-rebounding Washington Adventist (3-2) 49-40.

Cowan had a team-high five assists and seven points, plus eight defensive rebounds and 1 steal.

GSU led 37-22 at halftime and limited the Shock to 33% field goal shooting (21-62) in the game. Nine players scored for the Jaguars and the team shot 39% (23-59) field goals. 

Governors State (4-1) won its third straight game and will play host Siena Heights University (4-2) in the championship game, 4 pm EST start on Sunday.

Siena Heights won the other tournament game beating Grace Christian (MI) 107-31 in the opener.
