THIRD QUARTER COMEBACK FOR JAGUARS - GSU NOW 20-5, BEATS ST. FRANCIS 64-55

Win number 20 on the 2023-2024 season for the Jaguars took a third quarter comeback erasing a 30-25 St. Francis halftime lead to beat the Saints 64-55 Wednesday night in the ARC.
Governors State (20-5, 14-3 CCAC) outscored St, Francis 20-10 in the third quarter and had four players score in double figures led by Zareia Chevre with 17 points, 6 rebounds.
St. Francis (6-14, 6-9 CCAC) held GSU to a season-low 5 points in the second quarter and limited the Jaguars to 2-12 field goal shooting in the second quarter, outscoring the winners 16-5 in the quarter for the five-point halftime lead (30-25).
Angelique Cowan with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists came alive in the third quarter and also scoring in doubles for GSU was Tabetha Jones and Da'Naria Washington with 12 points each.
The Jaguars next play at home Saturday hosting Calumet St. Joseph at 1 pm in the ARC, February 17.
