Tabetha Jones with a 19 points, 13 assists double-double led the record-setting GSU women's basketball team to a 83-74 win (Jaguars now 23-5, 17-3 CCAC).
GSU seniors Jones, Angelique Cowan, Trinity Sims, Gaetana Davis, Ce'niyah Hampton played their final regular season home game for the Jaguars.
Governors State continued its overall team balance with four players scoring in double figures for their sixth straight win on the season.
Da'Naria Washington had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, Zareia Chevre had 14 points 6 rebounds and Kendall Winston scored 15 points to join Jones in doubles for the winners.
The Jaguars second quarter blitz of the Saints saw GSU score 30 points in the quarter hitting 11-15 field goals (74%) and out-scoring the visitors 30-14 to erase a 18-12 first quarter deficit.
For the game, GSU hit 7-19 three-pointers (37%) and Winston led the way with three from long range. Excellent ball movement and passing had GSU with 28 assists on 32 made field goals (32-60 in the game, 53.3%)
