NAIA YouTube TV Selection Show, 7 PM CST, March 7  will announce the 64-team women's national championship field and the 16 first-second round sites/games - set for March 15-16.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Illinois - - (game story 2/27/24 - CCAC Playoffs at GSU) -Quarterfinals - #7 seed Olivet Nazarene vs. #2 seed GSU

Governors State University (record-setting 23-6 season) had many fourth quarter comebacks and late game plays to win games this season.

And the Jaguars again battled back Tuesday night at home in the CCAC playoffs to 74-72 down with 2:16 remaining on a driving layup by Tabetha Jones. Olivet Nazarene saw its 9-point lead (74-65) evaporate in 2 minutes with the Jaguars fighting back.

Then the Tigers out-scored GSU 9-2 in the final two minutes to record an upset win over the #2 seed Jaguars.

The two teams came out firing and playing high-tempo offense in the first quarter with Olivet hitting 6-8 three pointers for a 31-28 first quarter lead. The Jaguars hit 12-18 field goals (66.7%) in the first.

First half offense saw the visitors lead 46-44 at the break and ONU led 65-62 heading into the final quarter.

Four Jaguars scored in double figures led by Tabetha Jones 21 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and also in doubles were Angelique Cowan 15, Kendall Winston 14, and Da'Naria Washington had a double-double with 10 points, 13 assists also tallied a team-high 9 rebounds.

2023-2024 CCAC Women's Basketball Post-Season Tournament Recap -

Indiana South Bend (30-1) wins the regular season and tournament championship for the second year in a row and now advances to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round along with second-place regular-season finisher Governors State University.  That tournament runs March 15-16 at 16 different sites with four teams each/site.

The final 64-team tournament field and bracket will be announced on Thursday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT on the NAIA YouTube Channel.
